Rude, unfriendly, arrogant, unprofessional staff. I recently been the Edinburg Consulate General for a visa matter and observed they are treating people pretty sad manner. Some poor foreign student was chased away, just because he couldn’t understand his accent. Edinburg Consulate General staff desperately looking for any excuse to reject taking the application. I have been to several embassies around the UK [US in London, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Denmark, Netherland] never seen such unprofessional responds. Some people had to come 4 times just for a visiting visa. my worst experience........................ (3/5)

I have phoned the consulate in Edinburgh twice this year about a complicated legal matter and on both occasions the woman who dealt with me was terrific. At times their verbal manner might sound brusque to the English ear but that's a language issue not arrogant ill manners. The London end is another matter. This consulate has my thanks and admiration (4/5)

Extremely unhelpful and just plain rude. They won't take calls, respond to emails or listen to you in person. You will be treated like a second class citizen. Talk about a powertrip. (1/5)

Absolutely not recommended. They have Cut & paste of same Email every time you email them. In order to facilitate your visit at the consulate It is essential that visa applications are carefully prepared. Applications must be lodged in person. You should know that we are dealing with quite a large amount of applicants especially at this time of the year. Therefore, we recommand that you come at 9.30 AM, Monday to Friday. (?please see online the list of days when the consulate is closed ) (1/5)

Getting advice and help from the French Consulate makes prayers seem a better option. (2/5)
