I have never posted a review online before but I felt compelled to do it in this case to warn other people off James Gibb Property Management. We had heard bad things about them before we signed the lease but a lack of options and desperation to move in somewhere quickly meant that in the end we decided to go with them - we all kept thinking, how bad can they really be? Well the answer is: so much worse than we could ever have imagined! The flat was a complete tip when we moved in and obviously hadn't been cleaned after the previous tenants moved out. It was in very poor condition and lots of things were already broken when we moved in, which they then tried to charge us for! It took months and months of hassling before they came to fix anything. I never felt safe in the flat as the lock on the door was small, old and weak (in fact you could open the front door from the street just by kicking it, and we had to call the police out twice when people were trying to get in). They were also very arrogant with us and acted like they were doing us a massive favour everytime they fixed something, when in fact that's exactly what we're paying them for! If I could turn back time I would never have rented a flat from James Gibb - it was a year from hell! (1/5)
