We were in the area the other night and decided to try Mumbai Mansion - we were not disappointed. It was an immaculately clean restaurant and a bright airy space. They were happy to change the table offered and the waiters were attentive throughout especially Arif. We shared the mixed starter and all was delicious and freshly cooked. The poppadoms were crispy with unusual accompaniments especially the mango and tamarind dip. We then enjoyed the sizzler king prawns ( so juicy ) and the hot lamb bhuna which for us was perfect, hot but not fiery. We had a pilau and egg fried rice - both perfect. This is definitely the best Indian meal I have tasted for many years and I would go as far as saying the best in Edinburgh. If you enjoy Indian with a twist and lighter and fresher dishes this is a must. I enjoyed the house white wine which was served in a thin stemmed glass and my partner Jonathan purred over his Cobra beer served in a ridged Cobra glass - these little touches make all the difference. We will be back ! (4/5)

Food was barely warm, (did not taste fresh tasted like it was just heated in microwave! Will not be returning. (1/5)

Best meal out I've had in Edinburgh for some time. Good value lunchtime deal. (4/5)
