My Husband I were recently married at Harburn House, West Lothian. We were told we had to use Reel Time bars at our reception. We could not have been more disappointed with the service we received. Wine that we paid for was not served during the meal, the bar ran out of several drinks throughout the evening (basic spirits such as vodka and mixers such as lemonade). We booked a service which included beer on tap and were promised this up until the day before the wedding, only when we were sitting at the top table did we realise that there was no beer/ lager on tap. Our guests were served bottles of red stripe and when this ran out cans of tennents at £3 per can became available. The excuses throughout the night given to us were inexcusable, one being that I had to understand that the bar was serving around 190 people- whilst this is true the numbers attending the wedding were made very clear from the outset of the booking. On return from honeymoon I sent a complaint to Mark Gilligan at Reel Time, almost four weeks later I await a response from him. I would not recommend Reel Time bars. The service we booked and paid for was not delivered and to date our complaint appears to have been ignored.
